Microcutter: The Smallest DIY Mower – Into Robotics

For Jöns Joelsson, it took several months to build a machine able to mow the grass of his garden. The result is a small lawn mower called MicroCutter.

The designer started with a simple chassis made of plastic. With two motorized wheels and a spinning blade, the mobile platform moves in the straight line until it bumps into an obstacle.

Jöns Joelsson shows us on his blog how to build this little mower. The only one obstacle is the language of the blog. Don’t forget to use Google Translate to translate the text and try to understand what he does to build the MicroCutter robot.
