Today I’m glad to show you the phyBOARD. This single board computer is designed in mind for special use in a wide range of robust industrial applications. The credit-card sized board is part of a project aiming to cut the cost of SBCs once with an improved circuit design technology. What took days or weeks, now can be released in hours.
The brain of the single board computer is the phyCORE-AM335x. This processor is part of Texas Instruments Sitara™ AM335x family.
This SBC is engineered to offer a wide range of features such as USB, HDMI, CAN, SD, and more. On the software side, the phyBOARD can run Linux, Windows Embedded Compact, and soon the Android operating system.

The “Direct Solder Connect” of the SOM, which can be directly soldered onto the PCB, eliminates costly PCB to PCB connectors.
