Normally an autonomous quadcopter would cost you pretty big bucks to buy, but Instructables user gmatthews11 shows us how you can build and program your own flying robot with the powerful Arduino microcontroller, APM 2.6 autopilot, a quadcopter frame, and some affordable components.
The goal of this project is to build a quadcopter able to perform a fully automatic flight. Once your drone is programmed, it should be able to takeoff, fly by certain instructions, and perform an automatic landing.
In the Instructables guide, the designer has put together all the parts and explains each step to building this autonomous quadcopter.
There is a ton of flying robots you can do with the Arduino, but this quadcopter is pretty cool for those who like to learn and practice with electronics and programming skills. See the full guide here.s & Solutions by W3 EDGE
