Adafruit introduced in its product list the RasPi robot board v3 by MonkMakes. The board is priced at $29.95.
RasPi does two things essential for the Raspberry Pi Model A+, B+ and Pi 2:
- it is an expansion board that fits right on top of your Pi’s GPIO socket, so it turns your Pi into a motor controller;
- allows you to supply your Raspberry Pi from a variety of battery pack;
RasPi includes the L293D H-Bridge motor driver chip. This motor driver chip allows you to control two motors independently.
