I don’t think I’m a very good bartender, in fact, I need more practice for an acceptable shot. If your bartender skills aren’t all they’re cracked up to be, or if you’re disposed to become one good enough to keep the party going, forget all of these! Check out this simple DIY RobotGeek Spout kit that is enough to build your personal mechanical bartender.
The kit is part of RobotGeek products and it was designed as an easier solution for making quick pour spouts. The kit includes a large variety of standoffs to fit your own specific project, two spout plates, and six riser plates.
To have a complete bartender, the kit has to be embedded in a control system. Now comes the turn of the Arduino microcontroller to become the brain of the mechanical bartender. In a tutorial presented on the same RobotGeek website, the kit was used to build a pumping station for a dual shot pouring robot. The complete tutorial and the Arduino sketch are here.
